A: All bookings are strictly a 4pm arrival. Exits and vacation of the carpark are 10.30am all days except Sundays when this is 12 midday. Extra hours can be purchased at £35 per hour at time of booking.
A: Large group accommodation sites like ours provide the unique opportunity of allowing large groups to get together in unique and stunning locations at an affordable cost and importantly with exclusive hire for your group. Traditional hotels and B&B’s charge £70 + per person per night on average whereas Wharfedale Lodge costs from just £19 per person per night* and you get the exclusive hire of the building to yourself. To keep overhead costs low, you are provided with comfortable beds inc bedding and are required to leave the lodge cleaned, tidy and in the same condition as you find it. By agreeing to our terms and conditions and tidy-up bond terms and completing them fully ensures we can continue to keep costs low for everyone.
*(based on a midweek offseason booking group of 20)
A. The Lodge is insured and has fire regulations for a maximum of 20 people on site maximum. This includes anybody in the grounds. So, if you have guests arriving then you must ensure your total number does not exceed 20 at any point.
As we are within the National Park, our planning does not provide for tents or caravans/motorhomes etc. Nor are we insured for such facilities, and so are therefore not accepted at Wharfedale Lodge.
An additional 4 people can be accomodated by adding the Wharfedale View annex to your booking.
A: Access to the Lodge from the car park is wheelchair accessible, with several bedrooms and shower rooms on the ground floor. However, the lounge and dining area are up a single flight of stairs on the first floor without any lift access.
A: We have 9 bedrooms in total as follows :- 8 x rooms each with 2 single beds. 1 x further family bedroom containing 2 adult bunkbeds (sleeping 4). A total of 20 beds provided. All bedrooms have carpets, drawers and hangers and curtains.
A: We provide all bedding. You are required to bring your own towels/toiletries. We simply ask you to strip all beds of bedding on your exit.
A: We ask for a deposit to secure your dates, and the remaining balance to be paid 6 weeks before arrival (plus a further, fully refundable security deposit of £250).
A: Wharfedale Lodge is not ideally suited for larger groups than 20/30 people. If your planning a small, intimate ceremony/event then we do have the option to partner with the group accommodation site next door to provide a more comprehensive facility for up to 60 people. We welcome discussing your plans to see if we can accommodate your plans.
A: Of course, thats what we are all about.
A: Wharfedale Lodge is NOT a party venue. Company, summer parties etc are not accepted. Our property is perfectly set to enjoy a group get together where all members treat and respect the building as you would your own home.
A: Our default position is that we do not accept party groups (as above), however we are the first people to acknowledge that every group is different. We are willing to discuss your plans, and sensible groups that will respect our property will be considered. Groups of exclusively aged under 25 yrs old will not be accepted.
A: Wharfedale Lodge is a self catering facility, with all the equipment you would expect in a normal household including the kitchen items etc. You need to bring your food, drink, towel, toiletries and some cleaning materials. A list of suggested items to bring is available here.
A: To ensure we can maintain the lower costs, you are required to leave the Lodge in the same clean and tidy condition as you found it. This means you will need to hoover/mop and clean, strip beds and empty bins prior to leaving. A full list of these requirements are provided with your booking confirmation and can be found here.
A: We can accommodate a maximum of 16 cars. Additional parking is available in the lay-by on the road.
Electric car charging is NOT provided
A: Your costs include central heating during the times when you are expected to be busy and active in the lodge. These are 6.30am-10am and 4pm till 11.30pm. If you require heating on a full time basis then this is an optional extra and is offered mainly during the winter months.
